These terms explain the rules for using the MyOxbridgeTutor website. By using the website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. Who we are

This website is run by MyOxbridgeTutor Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17300888, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean MyOxbridgeTutor Ltd.

2. What we do

MyOxbridgeTutor introduces students and families to tutors who are current students or graduates of Oxford and Cambridge. Our tutors are self-employed. They are not our employees.

We provide the website, the online classroom in which lessons take place, and the platform that handles scheduling, lesson reports and payments.

3. Other terms that may apply to you

• Booking lessons: if you book lessons through us, our Client Terms also apply. You accept them when you set up your MyOxbridgeTutor account.
• Tutoring with us: if you tutor through us, our Tutor Terms also apply.
• Your personal data: our Privacy Policy explains how we use it.
• Keeping students safe: our Safeguarding Policy explains how we check tutors and how to raise a concern.

If anything in those terms conflicts with these Terms of Use, those terms apply.

4. Using the website

You agree not to:

• use the website for anything unlawful or fraudulent;
• send or post anything harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory or obscene;
• interfere with how the website works, or try to get into any part of it, or any connected system, that you are not allowed to access;
• use automated tools to copy or collect content or data from the website.

We may suspend or withdraw access to the website, or to an account, if these terms are broken.

5. Your account

Some features need a MyOxbridgeTutor account. Please give us accurate details and keep your login private. Tell us straight away at support@myoxbridgetutor.com if you think someone else has used your account.

If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian should set up the account or be involved in setting it up.

6. Tutor profiles

Tutor profiles are based on information tutors give us. We ask tutors for evidence of their qualifications and the claims on their profiles, and we may edit or remove anything we cannot check. Rates vary by tutor and are shown on each tutor’s profile.

7. No guaranteed results

Our tutors help students prepare for exams, admissions tests and interviews. We cannot guarantee any grade, test score, interview or university offer, because these depend on the student and on decisions made by schools, exam boards and universities.

8. Payments

You only ever pay for the hours you need to use, no packages or contracts. Rates vary by tutor and are shown on each tutor’s profile.

All lessons with a tutor you found through us must be booked and paid for through your MyOxbridgeTutor account. Cancellations and refunds are covered in our Client Terms.

9. Our content

The content on this website, including text, graphics, logos and images, belongs to us or the people who license it to us. You may view and print it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, publish or sell it without our written permission.

10. Content you send us

You are responsible for anything you send or post through the website. It must be accurate where it states facts, and it must not break the law or anyone else’s rights. You allow us to use it as needed to run the website and our service.

11. Our responsibility to you

We work to keep the website available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error-free or free of viruses. We may change or remove parts of it at any time.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable. We provide the website for domestic and private use only, so we are not responsible for any loss of profit, business or business opportunity.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

12. Links to other websites

Where the website links to other websites, we have no control over them and are not responsible for their content.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Please check this page when you use the website.

14. Law and courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts there. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
