I offer comprehensive support tailored to the selection criteria: ESAT preparation, refining personal statements and intensive mock interviews. My master's deepened my conceptual grasp of physics and sharpened how clearly I can explain demanding ideas.

I support students preparing for the ESAT Physics and Maths modules, Cambridge Natural Sciences and Physics applications, A-Level Further Maths, and advanced problem-solving beyond the standard school syllabus. My teaching focuses on fast, accurate reasoning, clear physical intuition and genuine understanding — helping students see not just how to reach an answer, but why the method works, so they can build the confidence and intuition needed for unfamiliar problems. Through outreach and admissions-related work with the Cambridge Physics Department, alongside prize-winning academic talks and presentations, I've developed a clear and structured approach to explaining demanding physics in an accessible way.

Alongside subject tuition, I've supported Biology applicants through admissions for the past three years — running personal statement workshops and mock interviews, and helping students show genuine passion for the subject. Three of my students have gone on to study Biology at Oxford. In my research role I also teach genomics to Master's students, so I'm used to making complex ideas click. I like to weave exam-style questions into every session so you build both content and technique.

I sat Oxford's Physics Aptitude Test, scoring 88/100 — the ESAT now assesses the same physics and maths problem-solving, so it's exactly the ground I cover. Alongside three years of A-Level tutoring (Edexcel and AQA), I've mock-interviewed applicants at outreach events and spent three years helping at physics camps, running sessions and coaching problem-solving for students from GCSE to A-Level. I love showing students how to approach unfamiliar problems with confidence.

I've prepared students for both the admissions tests and interviews, with several going on to secure Oxford and Cambridge offers. I tutor Maths, Physics and Biology at GCSE, A-Level and IB, working with students at every level — patient, enthusiastic and practical.

Over four years I've tutored students for Oxbridge Engineering and Science admissions — covering ESAT-style problem solving, interview practice and personal statements. In 2024 I taught a series of in-person lessons to a class of around ten students at my former school preparing for the ESAT. I sat Cambridge's engineering admissions test myself before the ESAT existed, and the maths and physics problem-solving it assessed is exactly the ground the ESAT now covers. I also tutor Maths, Physics and Computer Science up to A-Level, and I'm happy to weave exam-style questions into every session.

I've tutored privately for over six years across all the subjects I teach, and helped in lower-year maths classes as a teaching assistant during sixth form. I have extensive experience with university admissions preparation. I sat Cambridge's engineering admissions test myself, scoring an average of 8.3 — the test assessed the same maths and physics problem-solving the ESAT now covers, so it's exactly the ground I help students prepare for. I aim to build both confidence and technique, whatever a student's starting point.

I've tutored online for two years, teaching Physics and Maths at A-Level and GCSE across AQA and Edexcel, and I currently coach a student for the ESAT. I've also mentored applicants from my old school through their personal statements and applications. I have a strong competition background: as well as Top Gold in the British Physics Olympiad and reaching the national finals of the UK Astronomy & Astrophysics Olympiad, I competed in the national finals of the UKMT Team Maths Challenge — exactly the kind of unfamiliar, high-pressure problem-solving the ESAT is built around. I sat Oxford's physics admissions process the year before I started my degree, so I know first-hand what it asks of you. I'm very flexible on availability through August and September, with evening and weekend sessions once term begins.

I sat the PAT for my own Oxford application, and I have real experience with both PAT and ESAT preparation as well as Oxford Physics and Engineering interviews — the physics and maths problem-solving is the same ground the ESAT now covers. I'm an experienced tutor and I've enjoyed teaching A-Level Maths and Further Maths, Oxbridge Physics applications, and GCSE and 11+ students too.
